As a result, sales of the MEI CASHFLOW™ 7900 have reached the point where it accounts for 100 per cent of all MEI changegiver sales in mainland Europe becoming a new industry standard. Recognised as the most advanced changegiver in the market, this machine uses unique sonar technology, and constantly monitors the amount and value of coins in real time, driving a range of benefits.

Operators from across Europe have been discussing the benefits of the MEI CASHFLOW™ 7000 series. Director of Coffee Break, Dr Marco Monaco in Italy says: "We have used MEI coin managers from the outset, and can confidently say that this has contributed to the success of our operation.

Auto float
The MEI CASHFLOW™ 7000 has the greatest tube capacity of any changegiver in the market, holding up to £83 in change as standard payout. On the most demanding sites, this capacity is vital in keeping the exact change light off, however on other sites this could result in cash inefficiency.

In order to address this, the 'auto float' mode of the MEI CASHFLOW™ 7000 constantly monitors the value of coins to determine the optimal values required in the tubes in order to keep the exact change light off on that particular site. The changer will then route excess coins to the cashbox. Operators have seen a 70% reduction in cash tied-up in float on certain sites, which means as much as £58 can be freed-up from your machine to be invested elsewhere in your business.

Raul Garcia, Sales Manager at Automaticos Rogar in Spain says: "Thanks to the 'auto float' and float-to-value elements of our machines, we can control and significantly reduce the coin values within each tube. And, because the changer manages payout options, we now have more disposable cash with which to use in other areas of our business."

Cash Control
The easiest way to re-float or to remove cash from tubes is† by unclipping the cassette, reducing† time spent at the machine and† any negative impact on sales. Historically however, the problem with this practice is that auditing integrity has been lost. MEI CASHFLOW™ 7000 changes all this; the sonar will immediately notice and record any changes in tube content or manual adjustment and will display the 'true' tube content on the display. As well as this, in the event of a route person forgetting to note added or removed coins from the changegiver, the MEI CASHFLOW™ 7000 will record this information for them.

Messrs. Sciappini and Jabiol, responsible for technical and automated payments for French vending operator D8 say that: "One of the features we were keen to use was the sonar technology benefiting coin delivery within the five tubes and for replacing the coin changer."

"Our technicians have found they can simply exchange one cassette for another as coins are automatically recalculated. This has enabled us to save around fifteen minutes per machine in preparation time, as the coins no longer have to pass through the validator one-by-one. We can now fill the tubes quickly and efficiently as the sonar technology calculates the amounts in the tubes."
