MEI has made it even easier for vending operators to download audit data from its hugely successful MEI CASHFLOW™ 7900, by launching the MEI CASHFLOW™ 7900i. The 7900i uses IRDA (Infra-Red Data Audit), which allows for the contactless collection of audit information, making it quicker and easier to download business critical information.
MEI has responded to customer needs by introducing this contactless system, which overcomes any problems created by physical audit connection. Data loss as a result of printer connection breakages, and wear-and-tear caused by frequent physical connections were among problems experienced by operators.
The MEI CASHFLOW™ 7900i is compatible with any palm, audit or hand-held terminal which recognises the EVA/DTS format. Not only does collection using IRDA allow for quicker, real-time audit; it also gives operators full and accurate information on the value of the coins in the machine, therefore immediately highlighting any discrepancies.
Following its launch last year, the MEI CASHFLOW™ 7900i is already proving a big hit throughout Europe. Klaus Teutsch of Aramark GmbH stated that the “CF7900 infra-red resolved all of our audit problems from the past, and Aramark will only buy the Cashflow 7900i in the future.”
